Last 19th March, the Counsellor of Tourism, Commerce and Sports of the Andalusian Regional Government, Sergio Moreno, collected in Cadiz the Gold Plaque awarded to the Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art Foundation by the Cadiz Provincial Council in recognition to the Foundation’s history and the work done by the institution in spreading and promoting the equestrian culture. The award was given during the institutional ceremony in celebration of the Day of the Province at the Regio Hall of the Provincial Palace.

After receiving the award, Sergio Moreno highlighted the important role of the Royal Andalusian School as tool for tourist promotion of the region and its cultural value, which it has preserved “with care and mastery of a secular tradition”. Likewise, he remarked that it has become “not only a prestigious institution, but above all, an ambassador of Jerez, Cadiz and Andalusia to the world and a symbolic place visited every year by a growing number of people”.

The institutional ceremony, which was presided over by the Minister for Home Affairs, Mr. Alfredo Pérez Rubalcaba, and the President of the Cadiz Provincial Council, Francisco González Cabañas, was also attended by the Counsellor of Public Works and Transportation, Luis García Garrido, as well as other authorities and public representatives of our province.
