The Real Escuela Andaluza del Arte Ecuestre presents a joint performance with the Portuguese School of Equestrian Art.
“Alma Ibérica”, which will feature live music, will take place at the Álvaro Domecq Indoor Arena on 19 and 20 June at 12:00 noon.
The Real Escuela Andaluza del Arte Ecuestre (REAAE), a foundation under the Andalusian Regional Government’s Ministry of Tourism and Foreign Affairs, has officially presented “Alma Ibérica”, a unique equestrian production that brings together two of the most prestigious institutions of classical equestrian art on the Iberian Peninsula.
In addition to the performances in Jerez de la Frontera, both Schools will also present the show at the Campo Pequeno Bullring in Lisbon on 12 September at 6:00 p.m.
These performances form part of the commemorative events marking the 40th anniversary of Spain and Portugal’s accession to the European Union.
During the performances, audiences will enjoy both joint choreographies and some of the most emblematic exercises from each School’s repertoire. The programme will also feature live flamenco and fado music, creating a unique artistic dialogue between the equestrian and musical traditions of Spain and Portugal.
The presentation event, held in the morning at the Hall of Mirrors of the institution’s palace, was chaired by Rafael Olvera, Director of the Royal Andalusian School, who encouraged the public to attend a show that “promises to be spectacular.”
