The Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art Foundation, as a leading public institution at both national and international level, is committed to conducting all its activities in accordance with the highest standards of integrity, responsibility, transparency and respect for the law. This commitment forms part of its public service mission and of its responsibility for the preservation, promotion and dissemination of classical Andalusian equestrian art.
FREAAE’s compliance culture is based on the exemplary conduct of its governing and management bodies and extends to all persons working within the Foundation, as well as to those who maintain professional, contractual or institutional relationships with it. The Foundation maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards criminal conduct, corruption, fraud and any other behaviour contrary to the law or to its ethical principles and values.
Given the unique nature of its activities, this commitment also encompasses the protection of its historical, cultural and artistic heritage and, of particular importance, the welfare of its horses. FREAAE promotes the dignified, respectful and professional treatment of animals, based on continuous veterinary care, appropriate conditions for their care and handling, and the use of training methods that exclude violence, mistreatment or any unnecessary suffering.
In order to prevent, detect and properly manage the risks arising from its activities, FREAAE has implemented a Crime Prevention Model comprising policies, procedures and controls aimed at consolidating a genuine culture of compliance. The Code of Ethics constitutes its main framework of reference and sets out the values and standards of conduct that should guide the actions of all persons associated with the Foundation.
This model is complemented by a Compliance Committee and an Internal Reporting System that enables potential irregularities or breaches to be reported securely, confidentially and, where desired, anonymously. FREAAE regards its Crime Prevention Model as a dynamic system, subject to ongoing supervision, review and continuous improvement, capable of adapting to the evolution of the organisation, regulatory changes and best practices in ethics, good governance and compliance.
